Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Stefanie Pool

I am thrilled to be joining the DeeMack family as the newest member of the High School Science department. I have been in education for 19 years and have taught everything from Pre-K through college level courses. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Geography Education from Illinois State University and my Master's of Science in Reading, also from Illinois State University. Over the course of my career, I have taught science at both the Middle School (6-8th) as well as at the High School level among a variety of other grades and subjects. For the past 4 years, I have taught in the School of Teaching and Learning (formerly known as the Curriculum & Instruction Department) at Illinois State University.

My family and I live in Normal where my son is an 9th grader at Normal West High School and my daughter is a 6th grader at Parkside Junior High School. My husband works in law enforcement. My son is involved in marching band and theatre whereas my daughter is on the local gymnastics team.

In my spare time I love to read and catch up on DVR'd shows and Hallmark movies. I am a fan of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones and am anxiously waiting the release of the final season...though I'm not sure what I'll do when it actually ends...
